What is your return policy?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, so we accept returns on all items within 30 days of the purchase date. To start a return, please visit our Returns page and follow the instructions.
How do I track my order?
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use this number to track your order on our website or on the carrier's website. If you can't find it, or worried about a shipment, reach out to us at support@magrecovery.com.
Can I cancel or modify my order?
We try to process orders as quickly as possible, but if you need to modify or cancel your order, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate your request. However once items have shipping, we are unable to make changes.
Do you have a physical store?
Currently, we do not have a physical store. All orders are made through our online store at www.magrecovery.com.
2. Returns and Exchanges
Returns Policy
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the your order number, or email you used to place the order. To start a return, you can contact us at support@magrecovery.com.
If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You can always contact us for any return question at support@magrecovery.com.
1. Magnesium Oil Products
Where is MAG magnesium oil made?
Zechstein Magnesium Chloride is sourced from the Netherlands and OptiMSM is manufactured in the USA. Our magnesium oil is blended in Austin TX.
What is the difference between MAG Original and MAG kids?
MAG Original is a stronger formula with the addition of MSM for optimal absorption. We recommend this for adults, particularly those looking for a more powerful topical recovery supplement. MAG Kids is a gentle formulation, with magnesium chloride only. We recommend this for kids and those with sensitive skin.
Is MAG safe to use on kids?
Yes, MAG is safe to use on kids 3 months and older. It is a great addition to their bedtime routine, helping to wind down and calm their nervous system. Start with a small amount (2-5 sprays) and apply it to less sensitive areas, such as the feet, to test for any skin reactions. Since kid's skin can be more sensitive, you may also want to dilute the MAG Kids Oil with water (50:50) before applying. Use at this strength for a few weeks, and slowly increase to pure MAG Kids. You can also apply to their stomach once they are used to the magnesium.
Can I use MAG while pregnant?
Yes. MAG Kids contains only magnesium chloride, which is considered safe to use during pregnancy. MAG Original contains both magnesium chloride and MSM. MSM is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy, but it’s important to consult with your healthcare provider before using it.
How much magnesium is in each bottle?
MAG original contains 400mg of magnesium chloride per 1ml, which is 48mg of elemental magnesium. MAG kids contains 250mg of magnesium chloride per 1ml, which is 30mg of elemental magnesium.
How long with one bottle last?
Adults: We recommend use 15-20 sprays twice per day. This means 1 x 8oz bottle will last around 1-2 months with 2x daily use. Kids: We recommend 5-10 sprays once per day (or as needed). This means 1 x 8oz bottle will last around 4-6 months with 1x daily use.
When can I expect to see results?
How quickly you see the benefits really depends on the individual. Some might notice the benefits overnight, whereas others might only see the results after a month (or longer). It's important to remember we don't develop deficiency overnight, nor will we replenish overnight. Our bodies constantly use magnesium, so consistent supplemenation is the key.
My skin tingles when I use MAG, is this normal?
Tingling or itching sensations when using MAG is often a sign of magnesium deficiency, which makes the skin more reactive to magnesium. This sensation will subside as your body begins to replenish it's mineral stores. We recommend applying to only your feet for the first 2-4 weeks. You can also dilute the solution with water (50:50), or apply coconut oil after use to calm any discomfort.
How does magnesium oil help with performance?
Magnesium chloride and MSM boost performance by supporting muscle function and reducing inflammation. Magnesium chloride helps maintain optimal muscle contractions and energy levels, while MSM enhances joint flexibility and reduces oxidative stress, allowing for sustained physical activity and improved endurance.
How does MAG help with recovery?
Magnesium chloride and MSM work together to enhance recovery by reducing muscle soreness and inflammation. Magnesium chloride helps relax muscles, restore electrolyte balance, and alleviate cramping, while MSM reduces oxidative stress and inflammation, decreases joint and muscle pain, and supports collagen production for effective tissue repair.
What's the difference between magnesium chloride and Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate)?
Magnesium chloride is often considered superior to Epsom salts due to its higher solubility and more efficient absorption through the skin. Magnesium chloride has a higher bioavailability, making it for effective at delivering magnesium to our cells. Additionally, magnesium chloride tends to be less irritating to the skin, making it a better choice for those with sensitive skin.
What 'oil' is added to MAG spray?
The term "magnesium oil" refers to the mineral-saturated solution's texture, which feels “oil-like,” even though it contains no actual oil. Magnesium oil is water-based, so it dries quickly without leaving any oily residue. Its "oily" feel is due to the high concentration of magnesium in the solution.
